Hundreds of people turned out over a two day culture summit to start shaping Brent's year as London Borough of Culture 2020 last Friday and Saturday.
Residents start to share London Borough of Culture 2020 ideas
Brent won the bid to be named London Borough of Culture 2020 earlier this year, beating stiff competition from 22 other London boroughs, and now Brent is giving it back to the people.
The two day get together at South Kilburn's Granville Centre brought together cultural organisations, artists and residents who had their say on how London Borough of Culture will impact their community.
Cllr Krupesh Hirani, Brent's Cabinet Member for Public Health, Culture and Leisure said: "Brent is brimming with creativity, talent and energy and it was great to see this demonstrated in the room as we started discussing some of the emerging ideas for Brent 2020 as a community. But this is just the start of the conversation. There are plenty of ways to get involved and, if you haven't got involved yet, now is the time.
"It's a great honour to be chosen by the Mayor of London as the London Borough of Culture 2020. Young people and local groups played a key role in winning the bid, so it is vital that they continue to shape the ideas for Brent's year in the cultural spotlight."
If you are interested in helping to make Brent 2020 happen there are plenty of ways to get involved from volunteering to getting involved in different projects. For more information.
