Camden fire: Tower of smoke as firefighters tackle blaze at cobblers in north London

A tower of smoke could be seen billowing above buildings in north London as firefighters tackled a blaze at a shoe repair shop.

Eversholt Street, near Mornington Crescent Tube station in Camden , wasshut in both directions while firefighters attempt to extinguish the flames on Wednesday evening - writes standard.co.uk

The London Fire Brigade was called at 6.17pm after the fire broke out in a row of shops.

Pictures from the scene showed bystanders stood watching as thick smoke gushed out of the building.

Transport for London said two bus routes – route 168 and 253 – have been placed on diversion due to the fire.
