Bars of London will celebrate Cheese Fare Week and cook zesty pancakes

Christmas holidays are over, which means that Easter is just around the corner. The end of January will be marked by the Lent, before which, one of the tastiest periods in the year passes – Cheese Fare Week.

All those who are going to fast and limit themselves in various delicacies for 40 days prefer to pamper themselves with a hearty and delicious dish - pancakes. Traditional pancakes include ingredients such as milk and eggs that can`t be eaten during fasting.

Bar The Book Club invites everyone to celebrate Cheese Fare Week. The institution arranges a pancake party on February 13, which will last the whole day, from 9:00 to 22:00.

Visitors to the bar will be able to enjoy pancakes with all kinds of fillings: cream, peanut butter, cheese, fruits and berries. But the main highlight of the menu will be a pancake steak with a martini-espresso cocktail. The dish consists of a pile of lush pancakes, with cream with kalua liqueur spread on them, abundantly bathed in chocolate and espresso sauce. Such yummy will cost you only £8.

Lovers of zesty dishes should relax in the bar Queen Of Hoxton, in which the chefs make Japanese pancakes with crispy chicken, marinated ginger, seaweed, Japanese mayonnaise and okonomiyaki sauce (spicy teriyaki ketchup). The price of the dish is £8.50.

And if you want to show your culinary fantasy, then you will have the opportunity to add sauce, fruit, cream or glaze to the ordered pancakes, anything at your own discretion.

Address of the bar The Book Club: 100-106 Leonard St, London EC2A 4RH.
