Save with Oyster Card and Travelcard in London

8. What is the difference between an Oyster card and a contactless card? Contactless payment cards are debit, credit or prepaid cards that can be used for fast, easy and secure daily payments of £30. Such card does not require a PIN or a signature. Just touch the yellow reader at the beginning and the end of the journey. The main advantages of contactless cards: the loan will not end; if you use the same card for all trips, you will pay the minimum price.

9. What card to purchase. It all depends on how long you plan to stay in London and how often you will use public transport. If you intend to make from two to four trips a day for several days or go to the outskirts of the city, the cheapest will be travels with Visitor Oyster card, Oyster card and contactless payment card. And if you want to come for a week or more, and travel only in Central London, a seven-day Travelcard will do.

10. What discounts and benefits can you expect? Show your Visitor Oyster card in a museum, theater, restaurant, bar or other place to get a discount or a compliment from a cook or barman. And remember that children use public transport for free.
