The mayor of London presented a new version of city bicycles that will ply around the capital for the next few years. Bicycles are designed by the largest in England manufacturer Pashley Cycles. Bicycles SADIQ CYCLES equipped with a system BLUETOOTH, have an improved steering mechanism, gel seat and tires with puncture prevention.
Sadiq Khan commented: "Tens of thousands of Londoners and tourists use bicycles every day to travel around the city. With the improvement of two-wheeled vehicles and making them more convenient, we hope to make it even more popular." Cycling is healthy, and also contributes to improving air quality and helps to combat road congestion."
The reliable design of new bicycles is expected to reduce costs and frequency of service. In addition to the new design, Santander Cycles also announced the opening of seven new bike rental locations in Brixton. Last year, the city bicycles Santander Cycles were used by a record number of people - 10.3 million, which is 4.4% more than in 2015.
