London Literature Festival. The London Literary Festival will again be held at the Southbank Center. The event will bring together the guests for the eleventh time. Philip Pullman - author of His Dark Materials, famous photographer Annie Leibovitz and nominees for the Man Booker Prize award, will share professional secrets. This year the festival will begin with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Poetry International and will recall the role of literature in spreading the ideas of humanism around the world.

Poetry International. Poetry International will celebrate its 50th anniversary. A significant event will be celebrated at the London Literature Festival in the Southbank Center. The very international poetic event was founded in 1967 by the poet Ted Hughes. This year the festival will begin with a week dedicated to prose and poetry all over the world. And the main idea will be cultural sustainability. More than half of the languages on the planet are in danger of extinction. The festival will demonstrate how poetry can save endangered languages and influence the changing world. The program included speeches by British poets in languages that are threatened with extinction.
