The cheapest house in London is a cottage, included in the list of cultural heritage of the country

The cottage, which is on the list of historic buildings in London, is sold for only £180,000. Do not be confused by such low price for a detached house in the capital, because there is a trick. The cottage is located at Willow Grove, next to the Plaistow metro station. Outside, the building looks very nice, one might say, in the best English traditions. But inside the house needs major repairs, because it was not repaired since the 60s.

The cottage has one bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen, toilet, living room, and there is a garden in the backyard. Despite this, the price for the cottage is still low, because on average, similar houses in London cost about £911,000. "This is a very bizarre house, but it needs modernization. Despite the fact that the house has not been repaired since the 1970s, we believe it will become a popular and desirable lot at the auction," - said Russell Taylor, director of Savills Auctions.

The cottage, built in the XIX century, will be put up for sale at Savills Auctions on 25th of September. If it can be sold for the originally specified price, it will be the cheapest detached house sold this year in London.
