London Overground to run ‘24-hour night services’

London Overground will join Underground services in operating a 24-hour service from later this year.

Services will run between New Cross Gate and Dalston Junction, and will be extended to Highbury & Islington next year - handy for Londoners as the Victoria Line is part of the Night Tube network. The Night Tube has seen more than 6.5 million journeys since it began last year - writes itv.

"It will provide huge benefits to Londoners and visitors to our city, helping those working hard through the night and all those out enjoying everything London has to offer, as well as creating jobs and boosting our economy.”

– SADIQ KHAN, MAYOR OF LONDON

It is estimated the Night Tube provides a boost of £77m a year and an extra 2,000 permanent jobs.
