The company Uber has got the license extended for 4 months. Later, Transport for London will consider whether to allow this firm to continue working in London or not. For the first time, Uber received a license to provide transportation services in 2012. The GMB trade union announced a desire to start lawsuit earlier this month, as the company forces drivers to overwork, "which is harmful for health and safety" of the drivers themselves and all people around them.
The last decision, whether to allow Uber to continue working in London or not, the Transport for London administration will take in the coming months. Uber said they were "looking forward to" the moment when they could help the citizens of the capital to move around the city again. A spokesman for TfL said: "Uber London Limited received a transportation license which will be valid for 4 months. This will allow us to decide whether to grant a license to the company for 5 years ro not."
