Mohanna Abdu, 20 years old, was found on Friday night with a bullet wound in Kilburn. Policemen and doctors arrived urgently on Malvern Road, but by that time the girl was already dead. This happened after 9 p.m. As Scotland Yard reported, two male cyclists turned to Mohanna and her friends before shooting.
The police believe that the group was shot several times. The suspects left along Malvern Road, in the direction of Shirland Road. People who live near reported that the police blocked part of the street, and a helicopter flew in the area. On Saturday, post-moterm examinations at Northwick Park Hospital revealed that the girl died from a gunshot wound.
Detective Andy Patridge said: "It was still light during the attack, and the crime scene itself is close to the children`s playground. This was cowardly attack on a girl who just enjoyed the warm weather with friends. I believe that citizens will help in the investigation and want to refer to everyone who knows something about the attack or tabout the attackers themselves. The murderers were of medium height, dressed in black clothes, and their faces were covered which made it difficult to identify them. That is why they stood out against the background of the rest of the people on a warm evening."
