Man arrested for drug driving after pedestrian is killed

A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and causing the death of a pedestrian who died in north London.

Emergency services called to Nightingale Road, near the junction with Hertford Road, Edmonton, at 21:30 BST on Monday.

A 53-year old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The 23-year-old driver stopped at the scene, according to police.
