Victoria trains run more often now - every 100 seconds.

Just recently, the train line, which is second in the world on the frequency of train traffic, has started its work. Actually, it has started working with a year delay. But now, trains of Victoria line, which is used by 700,000 passengers per day, will run every 100 seconds during the morning and evening rush hours.

Metro Guide noted that now, 3 thousand passengers more per hour can use this line in the midst of rush. Cost of additional trains was 900 million pounds, including the cost of new trains themselves and the cost of improved stations. Victoria line runs 36 trains per hour- from Brixton to Walthamstow Central. Now this line is considered to be the one of the best in frequency of train traffic in the world. All trains can successfully run thanks to the new Siemens signaling system, which allows trains to run closer to each other, without creating dangerous situations.

Originally, it was planned to introduce a new schedule in April, last year. But there were some problems with the operating system of new trains. Now the metro management wants to increase the flow of trains also on the Jubilee line by 2020.
