Old Street Station closed after body is discovered

The 21st of May the British Transport Police had to close part of the Northern Line this morning after a body was found at Old Street station. It meant trains going north on the Bank branch of the line were diverted on to the Charing Cross branch instead - reports itv.com.

Officers were called to the station at 1.27am this morning. Though the Northern Line is part of the Night Tube service at weekends, trains do not run on that part of the line at night time.

The BTP said the death is not suspicious. The Bank branch of the line has now been re-opened.
