London police appealing for help in sexual assault

The London Police Service is looking for the public’s help, appealing for victims and/or witnesses in relation to a sexual assault investigation.

The sexual assault occurred on a London Transit Commission (LTC) bus on April 28.

As a result of this investigation, Gregory Botting, 42, of London has been charged with one count of sexual assault. His next court date is Monday, May 15.

Investigators have, and continue to review, video provided by the LTC.

Botting boarded the 17A bus in Byron just before 7 a.m. and rode it for approximately two hours. The video shows what appear to be numerous other instances of inappropriate touching on female passengers.

A portion of the video has been released in order to provide potential victims or witnesses with footage of Botting as he appeared on the bus April 28.

Investigators in the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section are encouraging any potential witnesses or victims who rode this bus on April 28, between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. to contact of the London Police Service at 519-661-5670.
