It is with enormous pleasure that we reveal Erol Alkan as the club’s next thirteen week resident, presenting ‘To The Rhythm’ every Friday for three months straight, starting in July.
As one of London music’s most prized assets, Alkan has uncompromisingly paved his way within the industry through, it seems, endless means and guises: Boss of the eulogized label Phantasy, coveted remixer, producer of countless critically acclaimed albums, one half of ‘Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve’, a decade long resident DJ at seminal London club night Trash, resident at Bugged Out! and now, the fifteenth XOYO resident.
Canadian born electronic musician and performance artist Peaches will be the first to perform, mixing electro punk with alternative dance, every show she puts on is unique. Her performances explore the themes of gender fluidity and sexuality, whilst also creating music that is not only enjoyable but provocative. Back in the early 2000’s Peaches played at Alkan’s seminal London club night Trash, making this a reunion to be remembered. Make sure to expect the unexpected from the pan-sexual queer icon.
Second to play will be Dan Beaumont, having heavily embedded himself in East-London’s club scene as well as being a talented selector and producer, he is an integral part of London’s nightlife. He previously owned London’s infamous venue Dance Tunnel as well as putting on London’s best underground parties under the name Chapter 10. Currently, he owns East London hangout Dalston Superstore and is also hosting radio shows on NTS. Expect a DJ set like no other.
Room 2 sees London based DJ and NTS Radio host DEBONAIR.
